Julie Feldman Golovcsenko, Ph.D.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Westchester County, New York. I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Yale University and am a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at the NYU Child Study Center, New York University Medical Center, and Bellevue Hospital, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy, where I specialized in advanced CBT techniques and evidence-based interventions.

Before opening my Westchester practice, I co-founded Manhattan Cognitive Behavioral Associates, where I worked extensively with adults, adolescents, and children. I have been in practice for over 25 years, and I take a practical, collaborative approach that focuses on helping clients build skills they can use in their everyday lives.
In my practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, parenting and relationship concerns, work and career transitions, and major life changes such as starting a family, divorce, and empty nesting. I also work closely with parents to strengthen communication, manage children’s behavior, and navigate family dynamics in a thoughtful and effective way.
Clients come from Chappaqua, Scarsdale, White Plains, Rye, and surrounding communities in New York and Connecticut, and I tailor my approach to each person’s needs and goals. My aim is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered. By integrating cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and structured skill-building, I help clients reduce stress, improve relationships, and make meaningful, lasting changes.
Though I do not accept insurance, I am happy to provide a statement for you to submit for possible reimbursement.
I know that sometimes starting or returning to therapy can feel like a big step, and I look forward to supporting you and helping you navigate any challenges you may be facing.
